Friends and Colleagues,
I have had a wonderful carrer – almost 30 years – of providing medical care for athletes. My son is a professional slalom skateboard racer, which has provided a new and interesting athletic event to understand. Whether runners, triatletes, or cyclists, each of these events have their own unique treatment requirements. Yet, I consider all of us athletes – the mother taking care of her children at home, the office worker, the self employed individual. In this modern era, the intensity to produce and its resultant stress is treated similarly to those of a competitive athlete.
So, in the end, we are all the same, and the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment with acupuncture and Chinese medicine have remarkable similiarities.
All the best,
Whitfield Reaves
